On March 20th 2017, The Australia-Latin America Business Council held a Market Briefing and Networking Dinner at the Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney.  The dinner provided guests an opportunity to network with the visiting Argentine delegation including Argentina’s Vice President, Gabriela Michetti, Pedro Villagra-Delgado (Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs), Martín Etchegoyen (Deputy Minister of Industry), Ricardo Negri (Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Livestock & Fisheries), Juan Procaccini (President of the Argentine Agency for Investment & Commerce), Daniel Meilán (Deputy Minister of Mining), Ariel Sigal (Chief of Staff, Ministry of the Economy) and Pablo Quirno (Chief of Staff, Secretariat of International Economic Relations) and representatives of Australian businesses already operating in Argentina such as The Sentient Group, Pacific Road, Auscham, Australian-Argentine Business Council and Pepinnini Minerals.

Synergy had the pleasure of sponsoring the event along with Enirgi Group, Orocobre, Air New Zealand, Austral Gold, Innovia, and Bridgelane.

Paola Rojas, Managing Director of Synergy said “We were delighted to be a part of the first official visit to Australia from an Argentinean head of state since 1998. Both the seminar and networking dinner were a huge success, exceeding our expectations, with over 150 people attending to fully attest to the growing interest from Australian companies to invest in Argentina. At the event, mining, tourism and agribusiness, among other sectors were present. We hope this is the kick-off for a much stronger relationship between the countries. In addition, I personally enjoyed meeting Ms Gabriela Michetti. She’s not only remarkable as vice president, but she is also a very warm individual”
